BECKLEY —
The Resort at Glade Springs hosted Thursday’s Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at Black Knight Country Club, showcasing the newly remodeled ballroom and upscale, members-only Jimmy’s Steakhouse.
Rebecca Blaine, Glade Springs director of membership and promotions, said Black Knight Country Club has been “reborn under Mr. (Jim) Justice’s ownership.”
As a large crowd milled around the ballroom, Blaine pointed out the beauty of the remodel, which highlights original 1920s fixtures and ceiling.
Also new for the clubs is a social membership which includes members-only dining options, member events, outdoor tennis, and swimming pool access.
“Our No. 1 goal is to showcase our new social membership and let people know what opportunities there are at both the Glade Springs Resort and Black Knight Country Club,” she said.
Among the club facility upgrades was a revamp of Black Knight’s nine-hole golf course, said Carmine Carozza, director of business development.
This revamped course will be available to members along with Glade’s existing three golf courses, leisure center, stables and riding lessons, indoor basketball and bowling, outdoor pavilion and laser tag, he said.
Blaine also noted that for those who have not visited Black Knight yet this season, Jimmy’s Steakhouse is a striking addition with its urban atmosphere and Justice sports memorabilia collection.
