Members of Sen. Joe Manchin’s staff are hosting a meeting in Beckley today to help veterans navigate state and federal agencies in seeking medical services, benefits and health counseling.
Officials will be on hand from 10 a.m. to noon gathering at the Raleigh County Public Library, lower level conference level, at 221 N. Kanawha St.
Manchin, D-W.Va., said he remains committed to helping veterans get “the best treatment and care in every way possible.”
“The people who sacrifice their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day deserve the best education, housing, medical care and services our country has to offer,” Manchin said. “We should thank our service members every day for their patriotism and sacrifice.”
Two such meetings hosted by Manchin’s staff were held Wednesday. A fourth one today is held simultaneously with the one in Beckley at the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg.
