— The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department is seeking donations to fund the annual Shop with a Deputy Program, an event that allows children from low-income families to purchase clothes and toys.

“This program would not be possible without the support of the citizens and business owners of Raleigh County,” said Jason L. Redden, president of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Association.

Deputies say the children have a great time shopping and they are happy to be a part of the event.

Individuals or businesses that would like to donate to help a child in need can contact Redden, vice president Gordon Gregory, or treasurer Joe Crist at 304-255-9300 for more information.

Tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 832, Beckley, WV 25802.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, Law Enforcement Division at 201 South Eisenhower Drive in Beckley.

Redden added, “Thank you for your continued support.”
