‘Snow White’ remake will open today in Fayetteville

“The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” — loosely based on the epic children’s story “Snow White” by The Brothers Grimm — will debut at 8 p.m. today at Historic Fayette Theater in Fayetteville.

“It’s not at all a girlie-girl musical,” said Christy Ingram, HFT administrator. “We have become aware that people just aren’t interested in cliché fairy tales any longer, so we are offering ‘The Rock-in’ Tale of Snow White.’ It is uniquely different than the original with new characters and its tongue-in-cheek humor and diverse genre soundtrack. It’s a must-see for the whole family.”

Other show dates are March 22, 28, 29, April 4, 5, with matinees at 2 p.m. March 30 and April 6.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors over 55 and children 12 and under.

Advance tickets can be purchased at the theater’s box office from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, online with a credit card at www.brown papertickets.com or by calling the 24/7 hotline at 1-800-838-3006.
