— A preliminary hearing for a Beaver man charged with attempted murder has been postponed at the request of the defense attorney, according to Magistrate Greg Tanner’s office.

William Brady Shelton, 30, was arrested June 16 for attempted murder, malicious wounding and wanton endangerment after a shooting incident in the Lanark area.

The victim, Terry Moore Jr., 37, of Greensboro, N.C., was airlifted to a Charleston hospital in critical condition following the shooting.

Shelton is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $1 million bond.

His preliminary hearing was originally scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m., but will be rescheduled for a later date.
