— The School of Harmony is hosting a gospel sing and an auction to raise money for a new dance studio, additional parking and the “Music Mobile.”

The gospel sing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today, and the auction will follow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

School of Harmony President Charles Lee Hicks said the money is going to three great causes.

They hope to raise $70,000, which will help renovate a former classroom into a new dance studio, transform a former football field into additional parking for the studio, and fund the Music Mobile to travel to areas without structured classes to serve children.

“This is one of the best community events ever,” Hicks said.

He said concessions will be available and everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to the event on the front lawn.

As for the auction, Hicks said a variety of items will be up for grabs, including glassware, new rolls of carpet and flats of bedding flowers.

“This is a great way for the community to be involved. Come out and support the community and music!”

The School of Harmony is located at 159 Granby Circle in Beaver. For more information, call 304-253-3095.
