NFL player to speak April 4 at annual chamber dinner

BECKLEY — Tickets are now on sale for the annual Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce Dinner, which will be held April 4 at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.

This year’s guest speaker will be Doug Legursky, an NFL player for the Buffalo Bills. Legursky is originally from Beckley and played at Woodrow Wilson High School and Marshall University.

Tickets for the dinner are $55 per person, and tables can be reserved.

Cocktail hour will start at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

BRCCC President and CEO Ellen Taylor said ticket sales will go toward the Chamber’s general fund.

“This dinner provides an opportunity for us to meet a speaker who is very talented and recognize someone from Beckley who has been very successful,” Taylor said.

“Business people will also have the chance to reacquaint themselves with one another, and this is an excellent opportunity for new businesses to meet people they might otherwise not meet.”
