BECKLEY — Beckley resident Darrell Bailey, far right, sports a Seahawks jersey while his wife, Bonnie Smith, wears a Saints jersey just prior to Super Bowl kickoff Sunday night at Calacino’s Pizzeria in Beckley. Their friend Jane Vass, left, was pulling for the Broncos, and resident William Sabin, second from left, wears a Seahawks hat. Sabin said he was watching the team he’s loved since 1979 when growing up in Seattle. Smith and Bailey aren’t so much Seahawks and Saints fans, they said. Rather, they are NFL fans in general. Every year, Smith buys a jersey for Bailey on his birthday and on Christmas. This year she bought him Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills jerseys. Now, 16 years since she bought the first two, he has a jersey for every NFL team.
