Trap Hill Middle School sent an alert to parents Monday morning stating school would be released at 11:30 a.m. due to facility issues.
Dave Traube, Raleigh County Schools public information specialist, confirmed there was a sewage problem at the school.
By late Monday afternoon the school system had not released information as to whether or not Trap Hill Middle would be open today.
