HospiceCare’s “Love Light Trees” will be situated in banks in Greenbrier and Monroe counties throughout the holiday season.
For each donation made in memory or honor of a loved one who has fought or is fighting a terminal illness, an ornament displaying that person’s name will be placed on the tree in the designated location.
“This is a great way for our community to honor their lost loved ones, or show support of those who are currently battling a life-threatening illness,” said Missy VanBuren, public relations manager for HospiceCare.
Beginning Monday, “Love Light Trees” will be displayed at the following area banks:
n First National Bank — Ronceverte, Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs
n City National Bank — Lewisburg, Alderson, Rupert and Rainelle
n BB&T — Ronceverte (Fairlea) and Lewisburg
n First National Bank of Peterstown
Donations may be made at the banks where the trees are displayed or at HospiceCare’s Fairlea office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
HospiceCare serves 16 West Virginia counties: Boone, Braxton, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Mason, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Putnam, Roane, Summers and Webster.
