BECKLEY — A Raleigh County man was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Beckley to five years in prison for distributing more than 5 grams of cocaine base.
Sharee Woodson, 29, of Beckley, pleaded guilty in October 2009, admitting he distributed crack cocaine to a confidential informant.
The conviction stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Beckley Police Department. On Nov. 29, 2007, Woodson sold approximately 1 ounce of crack cocaine in exchange for $1,000 to a person working with the police department.
