Three fire departments respond to blaze

Trap Hill, Coal River and Lester volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire around 1 a.m. Wednesday on Allentown Road in Eccles, confirmed the Raleigh County 911 Center.

At least one home burned and reports indicated an abandoned structure or barn also burned.

Firefighters again returned to the scene at 6:30 a.m. when the fire rekindled.

The dispatcher said no injuries were reported.
