SOPHIA —
Around 5 p.m. Sunday, emergency crews were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Maple Street in Sophia.
Sophia City Fire Department Chief Jeff Pittman said the driver of the car ran onto a bank, lost control, and flipped the car onto its side.
The driver was transported to Raleigh General Hospital as a precaution, but Pittman said she did not sustain serious injuries.
Sophia Police Department, Sophia City and Sophia Area Fire Departments and Best Ambulance responded to the scene.
