With a nostalgic nod to the popular fall festivals of years past, the Ronceverte Halloween Bash offers family fun with a spooky theme.
The second annual Bash begins today, when the town’s lamp posts will be festooned with appropriate decorations, ready for judging. Cash prizes will be awarded during the weekend’s main event at the Clifford Community & Recreation Center Saturday evening at 7.
A children’s costume parade will step off in downtown Ronceverte at 5 p.m. Saturday, proceeding from Martin and Jones Hardware to the Clifford Center, where the little ghosts and goblins can collect candy from local businesses, churches and community groups during “Trunk or Treat.”
The party at the Clifford Center begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, offering an assortment of games for all ages, bouncy houses, a fortune teller, snacks and a bake sale. For those who have not purchased an all-access bracelet in advance, admission and game/activity tickets may be purchased at the door.
