A preliminary hearing is scheduled today for a 26-year-old Fayetteville man accused of making multiple bomb threats at the Beckley Walmart.
Travis Lee Persinger was arrested Sept. 21 and charged with three counts of making bomb threats.
Detective M.G. Bragg with the Beckley Police Department said Persinger faces one to three years in prison for each of the three charges, as well as fines and restitution for each day the building was evacuated.
Persinger’s preliminary hearing will be at 10 a.m. before Raleigh County Magistrate Stephen D. Massie.

A plea hearing has been scheduled for Friday for a Beckley police officer who was charged with domestic battery and unlawful detention.
Cpl. Bryan Atterson was arrested Sept. 10 after allegedly restraining his girlfriend against her will at their apartment in Prosperity.
Atterson, 35, was released on $2,500 bond after his arrest. He has since been on administrative leave with pay, according to Beckley Police Chief Tim Deems.
His plea hearing is set for 1 p.m. before Magistrate Charles R. Humphrey.
