One man was airlifted to a Roanoke, Va., hospital after a crash in Greenbrier County early Tuesday morning, confirmed Trooper First Class J.J. Phillips, of the Lewisburg Detachment of West Virginia State Police.
Phillips said it appears the man lost control of his vehicle and crashed through a fence and into a utility pole around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday on Williamsburg Road in Frankford.
Firefighters had to extricate the man from the vehicle and he was transported by helicopter to Roanoke with a possible broken femur, said police.
Detail on the man’s condition are not known at this time.
Frankford and Lewisburg fire departments and the West Virginia State Police responded to the accident.
