Judge gives two-year term to Nicholas County woman

A Nicholas County woman was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. to two years in federal prison for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Jennifer Curry, 37, pleaded guilty in May and admitted that on June 1, 2011, she manufactured approximately 6 grams of meth at a residence in Richwood.

She also admitted she used manufacturing supplies provided by other individuals.

After being advised of her Miranda rights on June 2, 2011, she agreed to waive her rights and admitted she cooked meth at least 30 times in various locations in Nicholas County since October 2010.

Curry estimated that she distributed between 50 and 200 grams of meth.

The West Virginia State Police and the U.S. Forestry Service conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Frail handled the prosecution.
