Sewell Mountain wreck injures two people

— Two people were slightly injured after an accident involving a coal truck and a passenger car, officials said. The accident took place along U.S. 60 on Sewell Mountain before noon on Monday.

“There were two minor injuries,” Fayette County Sheriff’s Capt. Jim Sizemore said. “Both of them were transported to Greenbrier Valley Hospital. I don't know their condition right now, but their injuries were described as minor.”

The accident is being investigated by Deputy R.G. Gipson of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
