The latest predictions on weekend weather have a storm rolling in tonight, with snow beginning in the Beckley area at daybreak Sunday morning.

More snow may accumulate on the higher elevations.
A winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service is in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening.
Power companies are bracing for possible power outages due to wet, heavy snow. Appalachian Power plans to bring in workers from Virginia and Tennessee this evening to assist with any outages.

Skies will cloud over this evening, with a chance of rain.
A cold front is predicted to roll in from eastern Kentucky and southwest Virginia tonight, moving northeast into the eastern mountains of West Virginia on Sunday.
Monday, the temperatures should rise above freezing and then hover in the upper 30s.
Fearing snow, Shady Spring High School has already canceled its weekend fundraiser. The event is rescheduled for March 25 at Padrino’s in Beaver.
