Raleigh County probation officer Andrew W. Darlington was arrested Saturday night for fleeing police while driving under the influence, according to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department.
Chief Deputy Paul O’Dell said the call started as an officer answering a report of a reckless driver.
“When the officer went to stop him, he did not stop immediately,” O’Dell said. “He went a short distance before he stopped and was ultimately arrested for fleeing a DUI.”
Darlington was arraigned over the weekend, but no preliminary hearings have taken place, O’Dell reported. Darlington is out on bond, he added.
