Appalachian Power Co. spokes-man Phil Moye said Friday that a minor power outage in Fayetteville that interrupted service to Fayetteville High School has been resolved.
The high school was closed Friday as APCO crews worked to restore power to the facility and the surrounding area.
The outage was caused by a fallen tree, which broke the wooden cross-bars that hold the insulated power lines, Moye explained.
“There were just a ‘handful’ of customers affected, but one was the school,” he added.
