The YMCA of Southern West Virginia is gearing up for the 2nd annual Spooktacular Family Fun Fest Oct. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Y, 121 E. Main St., Beckley.
“This is a free event focusing on activities for children,” said Health and Wellness Director Reginia Thomas. “We invite the community to come out, show off their Halloween costumes, check out the Y and get active with us.”
The Y gymnasium will be transformed into a sports-themed game hub complete with prizes, a maze and candy apples. Because the focus will be on getting active, no candy will be given out at the event.
