The WVU Raleigh County Extension Office will offer a Dining with Diabetes class beginning Nov. 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Extension office in Carter Hall on South Kanawha Street.
Other class dates are Nov. 13, 14 and 15.
This class is open to those with diabetes, family members and caretakers. Classes are free but space is limited and pre-registration is required. Participants must attend all sessions.
You will learn how to prepare meals that are healthy, easy to prepare and taste good. Recipes will be demonstrated and participants can taste each one. Participants will learn about nutrition, meal planning, exercise and common medical tests.
Recipe booklets and handouts will be given to each participant.
To register, call the WVU Raleigh County Extension Office at 255-9321 by Nov. 1.
