FROM STAFF REPORTS
Greenbrier Valley Theatre is offering the community an opportunity to enjoy many of its favorite actors performing some of their favorite songs in a special cabaret Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The cabaret will consist of members of GVT’s current production of “The Crucible” as well as members of the Greenbrier Hotel Entertainers.
GVT Music Director Lauren Darrell says the evening includes comedic musical theater numbers as well as pop standards.
The evening not only offers performers a fun break from the seriousness of “The Crucible,” the Arthur Miller classic based on the true stories surrounding the Salem Witch Trials, but also an opportunity for both the performers and audience members to experience something new.
“It’s a chance to see and enjoy the actors everyone knows and loves return to the stage to perform some of their favorite songs that most of them are never able to perform,” she said.
Tickets, which are $10, are available at the door. For more information call 304-645-3838.
The cabaret performance is just one of many events at Greenbrier Valley Theatre during October, which is National Arts and Humanities Month. For a full list of GVT events, visit www.gvtheatre.org.
