Three-vehicle wreck sends three to hospitals

A three-car motor vehicle accident on U.S. 19 South, just south of the Glen Jean exit, reportedly sent three people to hospitals Saturday afternoon.

Fayette County Emergency Services received a call about the accident at 2:30 p.m. The Fayette County Sheriff, Jan Care, General Ambulance, Oak Hill Fire Department and Mount Hope Fire Department all responded. By 3:30 p.m., the scene was cleared. No additional information was available.

Two patients were sent to Plateau Medical Center and one to Raleigh General.
