Greenbrier to host Fun Fest and Egg Hunt

From staff reports

— The Greenbrier will host its first Community Children’s Easter Fun Fest and Egg Hunt for children ages 3-12 March 28. The event, hosted by Greenious H. Brier, The Greenbrier’s holiday hare, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on the North Lawn with advance reservations required.

The festivities will include a magic show, jolly jumps, face painting, juggler, clown, crafts and refreshments. A grand Easter Egg Hunt, the highlight of the afternoon, will conclude the event. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cameras.

“We have a ton of fun planned and we really hope our neighbors will come and join us. All of the kids will be given Easter baskets and we’ll have thousands of eggs for them to find with candy and lots of good prizes too,” said Jim Justice, owner and chairman of The Greenbrier.

There is no fee to participate in the Fun Fest. However, guests are asked to bring a donation of two or more canned foods which will be distributed to area food banks.

Reservations are required and may be made by calling 304-536-7899. The deadline for reservations is March 22.

Parking will be available at the train station parking lot and complimentary shuttle service will be provided.
