BECKLEY — If you’re looking for a weekend activity or simply like giving back, consider Family Options Provider Inc.’s event to support Fairness West Virginia and Relay for Life Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Sir Walter’s Tavern, located below The Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre.

The fundraising event offers three different events and various ways to socialize and see the classic film “Victor/Victoria” on the playhouse’s big screen.

Cocktail hour with sandwiches begins at 6:30 p.m. in Sir Walter’s Tavern. It will be followed by the showing of “Victor/Victoria” at 8 p.m. At 10:30 p.m., after the movie, members of Motion Theatre will perform an acoustic set in the tavern.

Tickets are being sold to one event, two events or all three. For $15 per ticket, you have the option to see just the film or attend only the cocktail hour; for $25, you can choose the cocktail hour and film or the film and after party; and, $35 will enable you to attend all three. The variety of ticket options were created to cater to a variety of personal schedules and preferences.

Tickets can be purchased by calling The Raleigh Playhouse and Theater at 304-763-7059 or by visiting Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Robert Dunlap, chief executive officer for Family Options Provider, explained Fairness West Virginia, a civil rights organization, and Relay for Life, which supports the American Cancer Society, will receive the proceeds from Saturday’s events.

Dunlap says the evening combines fun entertainment and giving back to charitable organizations while showcasing Beckley’s new theater venue and tavern. The Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre and Sir Walter’s Tavern are located along Neville Street in uptown Beckley.

And, after all, “Who doesn’t love a classic film?” Dunlap added. But most of all, Dunlap is hopeful people support the causes being supported by Family Options Provider, Inc.
