Mac’s Toy fund reaches goal with $3,000 donation

From Staff Reports

Once again, the Raleigh County Singing Convention has pushed Mac’s Toy Fund past its annual campaign goal of $25,000.

The group of traveling singers performs each month at a different church in Raleigh County. Free will offerings are taken and the proceeds donated to Mac’s. This year’s donation is $3,000, the convention’s largest ever.

This year’s participating churches were:

- Jones Memorial Missionary Baptist

- West Raleigh Baptist

- Calloway Heights Missionary Baptist

- Mabscott Christian Baptist

- Sophia Freewill Baptist

- Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren

- Coal City Freewill Baptist

The Raleigh County Singing Convention will perform at the 78th annual Mac’s Toy Fund party Saturday at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center in addition to other soloists, duets and groups.
