Law enforcement and emergency responders from across Wyoming County have come together to sponsor the annual Mullens Christmas parade at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 in downtown Mullens.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Mullens, Oceana and Pineville police departments, all volunteer fire departments and ambulance services in the county, will participate, according to Sheriff C.S. Parker.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the featured guests, along with Rudolph, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and numerous other cartoon characters. The characters will be in the city parking lot following the parade to pose for pictures with the children, Parker noted.
All businesses, organizations, churches and individuals from across the county are invited to participate. Floats, four-wheelers, antique cars, motorcycles, walking units and other entries are all welcome.
For more information or to participate, phone the sheriff’s department at 304-732-8000.
The Mullens Area Chamber of Commerce parade, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled.
