Greenbrier hotel earns AAA award

— The Greenbrier hotel announced Friday it has earned AAA’s Five Diamond award for the 33rd consecutive year.
The White Sulphur Springs resort, The Broadmoor in Colorado and the Arizona resort Camelback Inn are the only hotels in the nation to have received the AAA award for 33 consecutive years, since the diamond ratings were first published by AAA, according to The Greenbrier.
“Earning AAA’s Five Diamond status is truly an honor. Our team of hospitality professionals strives to provide each guest with the highest level of service and they are all to be commended. This award is a reflection of the commitment and dedication they exhibit every day,” resort president Andrew Fogarty said.
AAA focuses on more than 600 areas of customer service and “the property’s physical attributes” in consideration for its ratings. Five Diamond lodgings must have “elegant style with luxurious, unique and artistic appointments s well as an elegant and extensive variety of landscaping with meticulous attention to detail in placement and care,” The Greenbrier said.
“The ability to achieve and maintain the highest level of hospitality in the most luxurious surroundings is what the Five Diamond rating is all about. AAA is pleased to honor these establishments,” said Michael Petrone, director of AAA Tourism Information Development. “The physical attributes of these properties are unique, enticing and extraordinary — complemented by an extensive array of personalized services for every guest, which consistently exceeds the expectations of even the most refined traveler.”
