Several thousands in jewelry stolen in store break-in

Princeton Police say several thousand dollars in diamond and gold jewelry and cash were stolen during a break-in at a city jewelry store.

Diamond Land, located at the Pine Plaza on Stafford Road, was burglarized sometime between this past Saturday and Sunday, Sgt. John Howell said.

The people responsible also did an estimated several thousand dollars in damage to the store during the break-in. Locks were broken on jewelry display cases and a safe was damaged.

Howell said police believe multiple suspects could be involved. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from neighboring businesses and believe they have located two suspect vehicles. One appears to be a two-tone late-model Ford F-150 crew cab, and the other is a dark-colored SUV — possibly a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Ford Explorer.
