By Christian Giggenbach
Register-Herald Reporter

The Mount Olive Correctional Complex escapee who was on the lam for two months was indicted by a Greenbrier County grand jury this week for allegedly robbing a convenience store in White Sulphur Springs about 22 days before his recapture in Boone County.

Robert Andrew Brady, 36, was indicted on one count of first-degree robbery of the Stop-In Food Store on Jan. 7. The indictment alleges Brady brandished a weapon and fled with two cartons of cigarettes and cash handed to him by the clerk.

Brady was captured in a trailer park in Boone County on Jan. 29. He was sentenced to five years for his escape conviction which was tacked on to his one to 10 years in prison for his previous convictions of burglary, forgery and uttering, and fraudulently accessing a computer in Greenbrier and Monroe counties.

A Lewisburg woman was also indicted this week on a child neglect charge stemming from an incident in July in which she also allegedly obstructed and battered a police officer.

The indictment alleges Roman intentionally allowed her 3-year-old twin sons to “play in a public roadway without clothing and unattended.” Roman was arrested on the two latter charges July 26.
