WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Adding to the hotel’s already impressive list of awards and accolades, The Greenbrier was recently named as one of the top 10 resorts in the U.S. by a top travelers guide.
Readers of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report named The Greenbrier as the No. 7 U.S. resort in their 27th annual survey that was published in the September issue, according to The Greenbrier.
“A venerable, world-class resort, The Greenbrier recently completed a $50 million renovation,” Harper said. “The property offers extensive recreational and spa facilities amid a 6,500-acre estate of manicured parklands and formal gardens in an upland Allegheny Mountain valley.”
The top six on Harper’s list were:
1. Blackberry Farm, Walland, Tenn.; 2. The Cloister, Sea Island, Ga.; 3. Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, Calif.; 4. Four Seasons Hualalai, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; 5. Twin Farms, Barnard, Vt.; 6. Auberge Du Soleil, Rutherford, Calif.
