One taken to local hospital after car wreck

— Raleigh County 911 officials say one person was transported to a hospital after a vehicle struck a telephone pole and a residence early Wednesday on Ritter Drive.
The accident occurred about 5:08 a.m., officials said, and one subject was transported to Raleigh General Hospital. Both Jan-Care Ambulance and the Beaver Fire Department responded to the scene.
Sheriff’s Deputy S.O. Ellison was investigating and no further details were available Tuesday.
