2010 class beginning project

The parents and senior class of Shady Spring High School Class of 2010 are making sure that every graduating senior at has an exciting, fun, and safe Project Graduation Celebration.

The group’s first big fundraising event is a rummage sale/car wash and bake sale Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the CVS/Hardees parking lot in Beaver.

Donated items are being sought from the community. Donations should be dropped off Sept. 28-29 and Oct. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nehemiah Baptist Church, located south of the Cherry Creek Dip, 136 Derek Lane, Cool Ridge.

Among the items sought are antiques and other collectibles, baby items, books (fiction and non-fiction; hardcover or paperback if in good condition), clean and usable clothing for adults and children, household and kitchen items, gently worn furniture, small appliances, sports equipment, tapes, videos, DVDs and CDs (originals only; no copies) and toys.

Items that will not be accepted are air conditioners, encyclopedias, mattresses, other large used appliances, TVs, large exercise equipment, textbooks, tires, used computers or computer components.

All donations are tax deductible.
