Detectives: Suspicious driver reported at apartment

— Raleigh County sheriff’s detectives say they are investigating reports of a man allegedly trying to get children into his vehicle.
More than once, residents of Edwards Crossing apartments, off Scott Ridge Road in Beaver, have reported seeing this man, Sgt. Larry Lilly, chief of detectives for the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, said. The driver of the dark-colored Ford F-150 pickup truck has reportedly asked children to get into his vehicle. The children refused, and the man did not try to force them into the truck.
The first incident occurred about two weeks ago, Lilly said. The truck was seen again this past weekend, but the driver did not approach any children.
