Beckley police say a wreck involving a car, motorcycle and pedestrian remains under investigation.
Around 8:28 p.m. last Saturday, officers handled the accident on North Eisenhower Drive, near Beckley Produce, Capt. Eric Rogers said. A southbound 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle driven by Kyle Thompson, 23, of Overlook Drive, Beckley, struck David Mullins, 33, no address available. Mullins was a pedestrian crossing the road.
After the pedestrian was struck, Thompson lost control of the motorcycle and crossed into the northbound lanes, Rogers said. The motorcycle then struck a 2007 Honda Accord driven by Peggy J. Workman, 62, of Joyce Street, Beckley.
Both Mullins and Thompson were taken to local hospitals, Rogers said. Workman was not hurt.
Witnesses told police Mullins walked in front of Thompson’s motorcycle, Rogers said. Mullins told officers he did not see the motorcycle.
The accident remains under investigation.
