New Greater Beckley Christian School administrator Jim Fritz is being welcomed into the school’s faith-based fold.
Fritz, formerly dean of the math department at Appalachian Bible College, says he hopes to continue to provide excellent education to the students at GBCS.
When asked what is the best part about guiding and teaching children, Fritz answered, “The best part is that GBCS encourages spiritual growth in our students. We use whatever talents and abilities our students have to help them ultimately serve the Lord once they are done with high school.”
GBCS has an enrollment of just under 200 students in grades K-12. There are 14 teachers and the curriculum includes core subjects such as English, math, history, science, reading and also includes Bible classes and weekly chapel services.
The school gives students opportunities to perform community service and a mission trip for the seniors. Other programs offered at the school are sports teams and a fine arts program.
The school also welcomed a new elementary school principal, Nancy Hill.
