Theatre West Virginia will transform its Grandview amphitheater stage into a mini-Whoville Tuesday evening with its opening performance of the Broadway show “Seussical the Musical.”
“Seussical,” according to director Rich Jagunic, brings together about 20 different Dr. Seuss stories, with a focus on Horton the Elephant.
“It’s kind of like a circus for the audience,” Jagunic said, explaining beloved characters such as the Grinch, Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, Jojo and the Mayor of Whoville are all included in the show. “You get to see what happens to Horton as he travels through his life.”
