“I am seeking to change the world for the better, one student at a time,” said Robert Hayes, Ph.D., director of Graduate Studies at Mountain State University.
MSU faculty seemed to hold this goal close in mind as they hosted an open house Friday evening to introduce one of the school’s new graduate programs. From 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, the John W. Eye Conference Center was open to provide information on the Master of Arts in Psychology that will be offered for the first time in the fall of 2009. The event offered food and refreshments, while MSU faculty and representatives from the School of Graduate Studies visited with potential students.
The program will be offered on Mountain State University’s main campus in Beckley and online where it can be accessed anywhere in the world. Hayes said, “The online initiative will allow us to employ dynamic faculty that live virtually anywhere in the world. We have the possibility to bring the world to Beckley.”
