High school seniors to benefit from College Summit Workshop

WVU-Tech will host a College Summit Workshop for more than 30 Raleigh County high school seniors Thursday through Sunday on the Montgomery campus.

These students will work with College Summit experts, volunteers, professional college counselors and community leaders over a four-day period to learn how to successfully tackle the college application process, personal essays and financial aid options.

Craig Grooms, executive director of College Summit-West Virginia said, “Students who attend a College Summit workshop will be fully immersed in the college application and preparation process.”

College Summit seeks to increase the college enrollment rate of low-income students through partnerships with high schools, colleges, employers, and the public sector. To date, College Summit has helped more than 35,000 students across the nation make college a reality in their lives.
