Raleigh General Hospital, who partnered again with Pasquale’s for the 2009 Celebrity Night, raised the most money this year for United Way of Southern West Virginia and the Women’s Resource Center. Second place went to Mountain State University who worked hard with Applebee’s to get some great tips. In third place were Crossroads Mall, WOAY-TV4 and Garfield’s. Honorable mention is given to Texas Steakhouse, who along with BB&T, was the only restaurant to raise more money this year than in 2008. United Way Executive Director Margaret O’Neal commented, “We can’t say thank you enough to all the participating restaurants and businesses, as well as those who ate out that night and left generous tips. This was another successful Celebrity Night.” About $11,000 was raised to be split between the two agencies.
