Greenbrier woman dead following motorcycle wreck

— State Police say a Greenbrier County woman died Tuesday as the result of a motorcycle accident in Summers County.
Trooper 1st Class H.F. Blevins said Bethany Parker, 20, of Alderson, was a passenger on a 2007 Honda motorcycle driven by Jonathan Hedrick, 21, of Cornstalk, about 8 p.m. on W.Va. 12 just outside Alderson city limits.
“A witness said a deer jumped out in front of the motorcycle and the driver swerved to miss it,” Blevins said. “As the driver attempted to re-enter the road, he lost control of the motorcycle.”
Parker was dead at the scene and Hedrick was transported to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center with unknown injuries.
