The June-July issue of West Virginia South will be delivered to area newsstands beginning Tuesday, and you can’t miss it. The cover is bright yellow.
Its contents are just as warm and summery with colorful feature stories and photos on Three Rivers Avian Center, downtown Hinton, butterfly gardening, buffalo, Ansted’s Contentment museum, downtown Lewisburg and a local author.
Readers will also discover in-depth looks at upcoming regional events, including John Henry Days, Charleston’s FestivALL and Theatre West Virginia’s summer performance season at Grandview Park.
There’s even a how-to feature on creative repurposing and a jam-packed Calendar of Events guaranteed to help make summer special.
Summer brides won’t want to miss advice from reality television star and wedding planner Monte Ray Durham of Glade Springs’ Studio M.
Featured restaurants include Alderson’s Big Wheel and Daniels’ As You Like It Café.
The magazine’s popular Fledge Chronicles continue this summer, along with additional segments of WVS’ West Virginia history quiz, search-a-word puzzle, contest-winning fiction and photography, and a society page.
