Two vehicles collided head-on in Daniels Saturday, trapping one woman inside her vehicle and sending her and the other driver to the hospital, Raleigh County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputy J.L. Redden said a woman driving an Oldsmobile passenger car south on U.S. 19 crossed the center line and stuck a Jeep Wranger head-on.
The Oldsmobile driver was trapped inside her vehicle and Beaver volunteer firefighters had to extricate her, Redden said. Both she and a man driving the Wrangler were taken to Raleigh General Hospital. Their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
The drivers’ identities were not available Saturday.
Deputy Rick Talley handled the investigation, Redden said.
