Raleigh County sheriff’s deputies are stepping up their patrols to keep drunken drivers off the roadways.
The sheriff’s department will conduct increased patrols, starting today and lasting through next Saturday, Deputy J.L. Redden said. The focus of the patrols will be stopping impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Deputies will also look for those driving with revoked and/or suspended licenses and any traffic violations.
The patrols are made possible through a grant from the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
