Two injured in 3-vehicle accident near hospital

— Two people were injured Saturday in a three-vehicle accident near a Beckley hospital, city police said.
Around 2:25 p.m., Judy Farley, 57, of Beckley, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero on Stanaford Road, near Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, when she struck a 1993 Ford Escort driven by Philip Bartram, 56, also of Beckley, in the rear, Patrolman Jamie Wilhite said.
Bartram’s vehicle then shot forward, clipping another 2001 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Barbara Clay, 52, of Mount Hope, on the driver’s side of the car’s rear bumper, Wilhite said. Bartram’s vehicle went across the roadway and into a ditch.
Bartram and Farley were both taken to Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Wilhite said.
Farley was issued a warning for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, Wilhite said.
