Two people indicted by grand jury on drug charges

Two Raleigh County men were indicted on drug charges Tuesday by a federal grand jury in Beckley.

Lonnie Donnell Sunderland, 21, of Beckley, was indicted on two counts of distribution of cocaine base and one count each of distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine and possession of a firearm.

Sunderland faces a prison term of five years to life as well as a fine of $4.25 million. He is scheduled for a jury trial on June 17.

Stuart Wayne Dotson, 41, of Crab Orchard, was indicted on one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

If convicted, Dotson could receive 20 years in jail with a possible $1 million fine.
