Firefighters battle 20-acre brush fire

Firefighters battled a 20-acre brush fire in the Coal River area of Raleigh County Wednesday night, authorities said.
The fire near Horse Creek Road in Naoma was reported at 8:23 p.m., according to the Raleigh County Emergency Operations Center. An estimated 20 acres were reportedly burning, but no structures were endangered. No injuries had been reported.
The Coal River Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. No further information was available Wednesday night.
