WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — The Greenbrier announced Friday the resort’s bunker tours will begin daily April 1 through Nov. 2.
Tours of the former bunker, which was completed in 1961 for the purpose of housing congressional members in case of a nuclear crisis, will be offered four times a day every two hours from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bunker tours will depart from the north entrance of the resort.
The cost is $30 per adult and $15 per child ages 10-18. Group tours can be arranged directly through the bunker office. Cameras, cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted on the tours. No one under 10 is allowed on the tour.
The bunker is located under the West Virginia Wing of the resort and has been featured in several programs on the History Channel and will soon be seen on an upcoming episode of “Cities of the Underworld.”
